LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY DONATED SMART BOARDS FOR SIX ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN BIH

During October, the Lukavac Cement Factory implemented the donor project “Smart boards for smart schoolchildren” in cities where it has its offices. The donation of modern, interactive boards pleased teachers and students in six elementary schools: “Tušanj” in Tuzla, “Lukavac Grad” in Lukavac, “Sveti Sava” in Bijeljina, “Jovan Dučić” in Zalužani, “Aleksa Šantić” in Vojkovići and “Edhem Mulabdić” in Sarajevo. The factory also organized the installation of boards through applicable software and other tools, as well as training for education staff in all six schools.

INTERNATIONAL SUCCESS STORY OF LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY’S ENGINEERS

(Lukavac, October 22^nd, 2020) Emir Ćilimković, engineer of the Lukavac Cement Factory, won the prestigious award “EUREM 2020” for the third best energy saving project in the competition of a total of 40 submitted works from 27 European countries at the recent 10^th EUREM international conference in Athens.

After six-months training “Eurem European EnergyManager” organized by AHK – Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in BiH, expert commission evaluated final work of Mr. Ćilimković “Improving the energy efficiency of the clinker production line based on drying alternative fuel” as the best one. By getting a required certificate for EUREM energy manager, Mr. Ćilimković got the right to participate at the conference, which was also a competitive event.

A visit to happy Čolo family

Ibrahim Čolo, employee of the Lukavac Beton, and his wife Anesa became happy parents of three children, two girls and a boy, a few months ago. On behalf of the Lukavac Cement Factory, our colleagues Arijana, Nataša and Amir, visited them with special gifts.

The Čolo family also has a three-year-old son, Ali. The proud parents believe that the children are the most beautiful thing in the world and we completely agree with them. Employees of the Lukavac Cement and Lukavac Beton congratulate them and wish all the best.

LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY RECEIVED VALUABLE RECOGNITION

The Lukavac Cement Factory was stated as company that ranked first in its industry in terms of realized revenue in 2019, on Tuesday, September 29^th, 2020.

We were awarded with this valuable recognition at the “100 largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina” event which is traditionally organized by the Poslovne novine in co-organization with the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and the LRC Sarajevo, credit rating agency.

INTERVIEW OF GENERAL MANAGER, STJEPAN KUMRIĆ, FOR POSLOVNE NOVINE

Our general manager, Stjepan Kumrić, gave an interview for the special issue of Poslovne novine “100 biggest in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The Lukavac Cement Factory has been supporting this event for years, which is certainly one of the most important business events in our country, but also in the region.

He stressed out that we are coping well with the new situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and that investments in increased share of alternative fuels continues.

LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY IS PERFORMING FIRE EXTINGUISHING AND FIRST AID EXERCISE ON THURSDAY

The Lukavac Cement Factory informs the citizens of Lukavac that demonstration exercise on firefighting, evacuation of employees and first aid will take place in the factory on Thursday, October 1^st, 2020, in the period from 11 am to 12 noon.

Including all employees, the exercise will be attended by the Professional Fire Brigade, the Emergency Medical Service, the Red Cross of the Municipality of Lukavac and the Lukavac Police Department.

We ask citizens for understanding due to increased noise and activities that will be carried out in this area, considering the sirens and police presence at all entrances to the Lukavac Cement Factory.

LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY: EARTH DAY

The Lukavac Cement Factory has been ceremonially marking the Earth Day through organizing various actions with young people and environmental associations within its project “In Friendship with Nature”, aiming to encourage children and young people to act and to develop their awareness of the need for continuous commitment to nature and the environment.

LUKAVAC CEMENT SIGNED ANNEX TO THE AGREEMENT ON THE LONG-TERM COOPERATION WITH ELEKTRPOPRIVREDA BIH

Lukavac Cement has continued a long-standing cooperation with Elektroprivreda BiH and signed the Annex III to the Agreement on the Long-Term Business Cooperation on EF buying and selling of ash and slag.

NEW MANAGEMENT AT LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY

By decision of the Supervisory Board of Lukavac Cement Factory there were some changes in the composition of the Management of the Company, which is from now on going to be represented by Stjepan Kumric, as the president of the Management Board and Managing Director, and Daniel Maschtovsky, as the member of the Management Board. Previous director, Izet Imamović, after many years of successful management of the factory, has taken the role of the President of the Supervisory Board.

LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY SUPPORTED THE OPENING OF THE EXIBITION OF THE YOUNG SCULPTOR IVAN JAKSIC

The commitment of Lukavac Cement Factory is to help and support young and creative artists and their projects, especially in the field of art and environmental protection. Therefore, at the Bosnian Cultural Centre in Tuzla, with the support of FCL, opened was an exhibition of young sculptor from Split, Ivan Jaksic, who grew up on the island of Brac. The exhibition closes on 20 July 2018.
