LET’S CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY WE LOVE

On Friday evening, May 27, the event “Philanthropic evening with Maja Sar & Nermin Puškar – I contribute to the community I love” was held in Tuzla for the second time, organized by the Tuzla Community Foundation. On this occasion, philanthropists and humanists from the Tuzla region, who make an immense contribution to the development of their community, gathered. The program was opened with the exhibition “Philanthropists of the Tuzla region” and the monograph of the same name was promoted.

LUKAVAC CEMENT AMONG THE BEST COMPANIES IN THE TUZLA CANTON

We are one of the companies in our country that has a positive impact on the economy. Through our successful operations, we earned the right to the Certificate of Credit Excellence which was awarded to us last week at the “Business Meeting of Excellent Companies in the Tuzla Canton”, organized by the City of Tuzla and the American company Dun & Bradstreet.

GREEN MILES: ALTERNATIVE FUELS AS A STEP TOWARDS DECARBONIZATION

An interesting and informative reportage on the use of alternative fuels in BiH was recently hosted by Osman Zukić, a journalist and co-author of the Doku.ba platform, which was published on Al Jazeera.

On the occasion of marking the 20th anniversary of successful privatization, the Lukavac Cement organized a day-long international conference “From waste to green energy with less CO2” on October 6, 2021 in Sarajevo.

WE CONTINUE “VISIT US”

We launched our “VISIT US” campaign in 2019. With the spring coming in and the abolition of a number of epidemiological measures, we are continuing where we left off.

We invite citizens, schools, kindergartens, universities and all interested to visit the Lukavac Cement. We will provide all visitors with an educational walk through our facilities. We pay special attention to the use of alternative fuels in our cement plant and our active work on preserving the environment, human health and reducing CO₂.

„WASTE2ENERGY” – FOR GREEN AND SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

By our participation in the conference on waste management “Waste2Energy”, held on 25^th March in Zagreb, which gathered numerous experts in this field, we were recognized as a relevant factor when it comes to the use of alternative fuels in the region.

STUDENTS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL “LUKAVAC GRAD” VISITED LUKAVAC CEMENT

Yesterday, we hosted special guests in our facilities, students of III-4 grade of the elementary school “Lukavac Grad” and their teacher Lejla Kovačević. In total, 26 children, who visited out factory, expressed happiness and joy to have opportunity to visit a real factory after a long isolation caused by the pandemic.

During the tour of the plant, students got acquainted with the process of cement production and learned how the processed waste can be usefully used as an alternative fuel for energy production.

OVERHAUL ACTIVITIES OF THE LUKAVAC CEMENT PLANT IN PROGRESS

Regular overhaul activities of our plants for 2022 began on January 21^st and will last until March 10^th.

The goal of annual regular overhaul is to further increase the reliability of our cement plant, improve and enhance energy efficiency in clinker production, and increase the share of alternative fuels and all other environmental aspects of production.

LUKAVAC CEMENT: DONATION FOR LUKAVAC KINDERGARTEN “POLETARAC”

At the beginning of 2022, our company made donation to the Public Institution for Upbringing and Education of Preschool Children, Poletarac Lukavac.

On January 11^th, we visited Poletarac Lukavac and handed them six air purifiers that will provide children and teachers with even better health and hygiene conditions during their stay in the kindergarten.

On January 1^st 2022, Lukavac Cement Factory d.d. officially changed its name and form of business to Lukavac Cement d.o.o.

Address, ID number, tax number, VAT number, telephone, bank details, company activity and e-mail addresses are unchanged. The modification of the name and form of organization of the company does not affect the concluded contracts and established obligations between clients, partners and other institutions with “Lukavac Cement Factory” d.d. All previously concluded agreements remain effective.
