COMPLETION OF REGULAR WINTER OVERHAUL IN LUKAVAC CEMENT
On January 6th, Lukavac Cement started the planned works on the winter overhaul of the plant due to which the rotary kiln line was stopped. Production will resume on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024.
The regular overhaul of the plant to optimize the cement production process was conducted by employees of Lukavac Cement and several companies from the country and abroad.
We are using the opportunity to inform the public to be aware of the smoke which will be visible from the factory on February 20 until the warm operating mode is established. The smoke is a result of the restarted rotary kiln which is inducing the newly installed materials to dry out. This is a common occurrence without any harmful effects on people and the environment as it is an established technological process of heating and preparing the plant for continued clinker production.
We ask the citizens of Lukavac for their understanding.
After the completion of the heating process, cement production continues according to the established plan.
