GENERAL DIRECTOR OF LUKAVAC CEMENT PARTICIPATED IN THE BUSINESS FORUM IN BERLIN

Stjepan Kumrić, our General Manager, was a participant and panelist at the Business Forum entitled “10 years of the Berlin Process – The Western Balkans as an Economic Area on the way to the EU” which was held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 in Berlin with the presence of about 250 participants.

A special emphasis of the forum was placed on the Common Regional Market, which includes an overview of the past 10 years of the Berlin Process, as well as an assessment of progress and challenges. The second part of the event was dedicated to energy and climate protection, with a focus on challenges and opportunities for the economic development of the region, whereby green transformation is recognized as a significant opportunity for the Western Balkans.

Director Kumrić participated in this panel discussion and presented the successful results of the green transition of Lukavac Cement on the path of sustainable and prosperous development leading to integration into the European Union.

The forum was attended by all ministers of economic affairs of the countries of the Western Balkans, as well as other business representatives in the region. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany, with the support of the German Chamber of Commerce (DIHK), the Investment Forum of the Chambers of the Western Balkans (WB6 CIF) and the Eastern Board of German Economy (OA), organized the Business Forum, which was opened by Robert Habeck, German Minister of Economic Affairs.
