Cement Plant Lukavac Winner ff the Award “Salt Crystal 2016”
Cement Pant Lukavac is a winner of the award “Salt Crystal 2016” as the most successful company in TK by overall turnover in 2016 – medium size company. At gala ceremony “The Best in TK Economy – Salt Crystal 2016” which took place last night in Tuzla in the organization of RTV Slon and under the sponsorship of Tuzla Canton Government, the award was received by the General Director Izet Imamović.
This is another valuable acknowledgement for Lukavac Cement Plant for all the efforts made to contribute to the development and progress of Tuzla Canton and Bosnia and Herzegovina. While thanking to organizers and expert award jury, Lukavac Cement Plant Director underlined how important it is to promote economic potential and positive trends in TK and that it is a great honour to be a part of this success story.
The Award is confirmation of our determination to constantly invest in modernization of the plant with the aim to improve the quality of life and to create new job opportunities in our local community and wider. At the same time, we are very motivated to keep working on scheduled investment projects for constant improvement ecological aspects of our work, especially in the domain of utilization of alternative fuels”,
Imamović said.
The jury of “Salt Crystals 2016”, composed of representatives of employers, entrepreneurs and economic experts, presented 11 awards last night, eight awards in five categories, and three special awards.
Holding Company Cement Plant Lukavac is a leading manufacturer of Portland and masonry cement in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2001 the Plant is a member of distinguished business group Asamer from Austria. Because of its innovative approach and continuous investment in latest technology strategy it was called the biggest “green field” investment and “Best Foreign Investor” in BiH back in 2008. Through its relationship and commitment to preserving the environment has earned the title “Green cement plant” based on certificates ISO 9001: 2008 i ISO 14001:2004, in line with best European practices and standards.
