LUKAVAC CEMENT BECOMES THE FIRST COMPANY CERTIFIED UNDER ISO 37301:2021 IN BIH AND THE WESTERN BALKANS
Lukavac Cement is proud to announce that it has successfully passed a certification audit by completing the Compliance Management System certification process and became the first company in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans to be certified under ISO 37301:2021.
This is a great achievement for all of us. We once again proved to be the leading cement plant in BIH and the region committed to always staying a step ahead.
ISO 37301:2021 is an international standard that provides guidelines for implementing an effective compliance management system. With this standard, Lukavac Cement demonstrates its commitment to comply with relevant local and European laws, various regulatory requirements, industrial codes, organizational standards, and other applicable rules.
This new standard was published by the ISO organization in April 2021 and the Institute for Standardization of BiH in May 2023.
Since the announcement by the ISO organization about the introduction of ISO 37301:2021, Lukavac Cement has started working on preparations for the implementation of the system according to the new standard. The introduction process lasted a little over two years and consisted of several complex phases, culminating in certification.
The compliance management system is grounded in business ethics, integrity, good governance, proportionality, transparency, responsibility, and sustainability.
In achieving this standard, we are supporting the UN’s sustainable development goals. An important fact is that this standard is integrated into other management systems in Lukavac Cement, which is a guarantee that compliance is an integral part of every relevant business process in our company.
