LUKAVAC CEMENT RESTARTS PRODUCTION AS OF MAY 30, 2024: MINOR REPAIR ACTIVITIES SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED
In the period May 19-29, minor overhaul activities of the plant were performed in Lukavac Cement due to which the rotary kiln line was stopped. The aim of these works was further optimization of production processes.
On Thursday May 30, we are starting production and heating of the rotary kiln. As you know, smoke will appear from the factory due to the drying of the newly installed materials as a result of the above explained process, which will be present until the warm operating mode is established.
This process does not have any harmful effect on people and the environment since it is an established technological process of heating when the plant is put into operation.
After the heating process is finished, cement production normally continues according to the work plan.
Employees of Lukavac Cement, as well as several companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, participated in the repair work.
