Stjepan Kumrić as a panelist at the regional conference “Green Horizons of Economic Development”
Our general director, Stjepan Kumrić, had the honor to participate as a panelist at the regional conference “Green Horizons of Economic Development,” held on October 21st in Budva, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro. The conference was officially opened by PhD Nina Drakić, President of the Chamber.
During the panel titled “Accelerating the Green Transition: Activating the Private Sector’s Potential,” moderator Tina Čaušević from Coca-Cola HBC emphasized the importance of the private sector in the green transition process, highlighting the significance of the Hamburg Declaration in this context.
In his presentation, director Kumrić shared the experiences of Lukavac Cement in reducing its carbon footprint: “We use waste materials from other industries to produce cement. We are already using almost 70% alternative fuel, with a focus on the EU market, as there is still no production of such fuel in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
The main message of the panel was to demonstrate how the private sector plays a key role in the green revolution, driving innovations and solutions that will generate substantial change.
