On Saturday, September 14th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., we are organizing a new gathering and party on the grounds of our factory.

We invite dear citizens of Lukavac of all generations to join us at the 14th Open Door Day. In this year when we are celebrating our 50th birthday, it is important for us to traditionally gather, celebrate and have a good time.

AFTER THE OVERHAUL BREAK, PRODUCTION STARTS AT LUKAVAC CEMENT

Ten days ago, minor overhaul activities were undertaken in Lukavac Cement to improve certain production processes causing the rotary kiln line to be stopped.

On Wednesday, August 21, the reboot of production will follow. Due to the heating of the rotary kiln, smoke will be seen from the factory, which is a normal phenomenon in this process until the setting up of a warm operating mode.

Lukavac Cement is a finalist in the “Resources and Environment” category for medium-sized companies within the Award for “Business Leader of Sustainable Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2024” for the fourth time. At the same time, it is another confirmation and recognition of our company for the continuity of investment in research, development and transition towards a sustainable production and business.

The celebration of Lukavac Cement’s 50th birthday was incredible!

Our owner LŐRINC MÉSZÁROS came to visit us, and after his visit a press conference was held. In the evening, thousands of citizens of Lukavac of all generations celebrated with us and enjoyed the spectacular concert of Divanhana and Dubioza Kolektiv.

Concerning marking our great jubilee, a press conference will be held on Thursday June 6, starting at 12 p.m. in the grounds of our factory, where Stjepan Kumrić, General Director of Lukavac Cement, Tamas Nemeth, President of the Supervisory Board of Lukavac Cement, Krisztián Pósa, Ambassador of Hungary in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Izet Imamović, former General Manager of Lukavac Cement Factory and Edin Delić, Mayor of Lukavac will address the journalists.

LUKAVAC CEMENT: AIR PROTECTION PROJECT CO-FINANCED BY THE FBIH ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION FUND

We care and invest intensively in environmental protection. We are currently implementing a project entitled “Improving air quality through enhancement of the system for continuous monitoring of air pollutant emissions, reporting and education”, which is co-financed by the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The goal of the project is to improve the quality and continuity of measurements by installing a new analyzer for continuous monitoring of emissions of pollutants into the air at the chimney of the rotary kiln.
