MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION SIGNED BETWEEN LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY, TUZLA FACULTIES AND MUNICIPALITY OF LUKAVAC

The ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with Faculties of Technology, Electrical Engineering and Economics of the University of Tuzla and the Municipality of Lukavac was held today at the Lukavac Cement Factory. The reason for this cooperation is a new project launched by the Lukavac Cement Factory planning to employ the five best graduates from area of the Municipality of Lukavac.

During the Memorandum signing, Stjepan Kumrić, the General Manager of the Lukavac Cement, pointed out that five young people will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and new skills that will be important for their future careers, and added:

“We are offering an opportunity to young and talented people, and we want to reward the excellent ones through possibility to get their first job in a modern factory in Bosnia and Herzegovina that operates according to European standards. I want to emphasize that the main criteria of the competition will be the grade average, participation in professional projects, professor’s recommendations, knowledge of English and residence in the Municipality of Lukavac. We believe that this project is a socially useful idea because it encourages both quality and competition. It is especially important that together we encourage the best ones to successfully fight for further growth and economic progress, not only of our factories, but also in local communities and Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Ph.D. Nerdina Mehinović, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Ph.D. Amra Gadžo, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Ph.D. Sead Ćatić, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, and Edin Delić, Mayor of Lukavac, who expressed their warm support for this project.

The vacancy for five jobs in the Lukavac Cement Factory is open until August 31st, 2021. Young and educated graduates of the Faculties of Technology, Electrical Engineering and Economics of the University of Tuzla can apply to the vacancy. This will be the first work experience for young graduates, while the Lukavac Cement Factory will get oportunity to hire new and quality staff.
