REGULAR PLANT OVERHAUL UNTIL MARCH IN THE LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY

The regular annual plant overhaul, expected to be completed by March 1st 2021, began on January 11th in the Lukavac Cement Factory.

Nedim Pašić, our technical director, pointed out that, after the overhaul, energy efficiency in clinker production and all environmental aspects of production will be further improved, with special emphasis on maximizing the share of alternative fuels and reducing fossil fuels in use.

GENERAL DIRECTOR KUMRIĆ AT THE EUROPEAN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Stjepan Kumrić, general director of the Lukavac Cement Factory, 2020, participated at the international conference “CONNECTING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN THE REGION”, organized by the Austrian platform WEthink on Thursday, 10th of December. The main goal of the conference was to gather participants from the region to discuss the circular economy.

LUKAVAC CEMENT FACTORY DONATED SMART BOARDS FOR SIX ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN BIH

During October, the Lukavac Cement Factory implemented the donor project “Smart boards for smart schoolchildren” in cities where it has its offices. The donation of modern, interactive boards pleased teachers and students in six elementary schools: “Tušanj” in Tuzla, “Lukavac Grad” in Lukavac, “Sveti Sava” in Bijeljina, “Jovan Dučić” in Zalužani, “Aleksa Šantić” in Vojkovići and “Edhem Mulabdić” in Sarajevo. The factory also organized the installation of boards through applicable software and other tools, as well as training for education staff in all six schools.
