By this movie we are presenting the production process in the Lukavac Cement through an illustrative way. After the successful privatization of our factory 20 years ago, over 240 million BAM were invested in the modernization and construction of new plants.
In these difficult times, when many homes in Petrinja were demolished or damaged, it is important to show solidarity and humanity and help people in need. The Lukavac Cement Factory also joined the action of supporting population from the earthquake-affected area in the Republic of Croatia and donated prefabricated houses to two families from Petrinja.
The regular annual plant overhaul, expected to be completed by March 1st 2021, began on January 11th in the Lukavac Cement Factory.
Nedim Pašić, our technical director, pointed out that, after the overhaul, energy efficiency in clinker production and all environmental aspects of production will be further improved, with special emphasis on maximizing the share of alternative fuels and reducing fossil fuels in use.
Antigen testing on COVID-19 of all employees in the Lukavac Cement and third parties, who will work on the regular overhaul of the plant, was conducted from 8 to 12 January 2021.
In these unusual and difficult times, the Lukavac Cement Factory has promptly reacted to the corona crisis from the very beginning, showing solidarity in the fight against the pandemic. Medical institutions and medical workers are on the front lines of defense and every kind of support and assistance is of utmost importance to them.

Stjepan Kumrić, general director of the Lukavac Cement Factory, 2020, participated at the international conference “CONNECTING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES FOR CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN THE REGION”, organized by the Austrian platform WEthink on Thursday, 10th of December. The main goal of the conference was to gather participants from the region to discuss the circular economy.

The team from Bosnia and Herzegovina won a gold medal and cash prize of 1,500 euros at the Regional Competition for the Best Innovations ‘Sarajevo 2020’, which was held as part of the first regional virtual Fair of Innovation and Entrepreneurship ‘Sarajevo 2020’ on November 23-24.
